*Joe Pesci laugh*

What bores you?

Get a load o’ this guy. He thinks I’m bored. Do I look bored to you? No? Then why’d you ask? Huh? Speak up. Speak up! Why’d you ask? Oh, you were curious. Haha. Curious. Ok. Ask me again. Go on. Ask me. Ask me again, tough guy. Ask me again. No no no ask me again! Go on! ASK ME.

What is your favorite drink?

… back to that one afternoon at that pretty vacation spot.
That fruit punch – nonalcoholic, tropical, freshly made – that tasted like a Gift from the Gods.

Every other drink has paled in comparison.
A whole glass of Paradise.
Perfection.

OMIGAWD!!!

Share one of the best gifts you’ve ever received.

OMG OMG OMG YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED PICK UP THE PHONE NOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!

Besties, BFFs
Bros, Bruhs
Dudes and Dudettes
And all the other words we use to denote sincere connection:

There is no greater gift in life than a true friend.
That person who shares their life with you and wants to be with you for who you are.

It is more than a gift. It’s a blessing.

Third Planet from the Sun

Daily writing prompt
Are you patriotic? What does being patriotic mean to you?

Flags are fun and great for games
But the earth beneath our feet is all we have.

If the all this tumultuous connection has shown us something
Then that humans are very much alike:

We need food and family, community and water to thrive.
We need joy and laughter and those who hold us in our sorrow to survive.

We are inquisitive
We are curious
We are tenacious
And sometimes wild

Dangerous when stupid
Sublime when inspired
And our kindness is near-divine

We are so ridiculously alike
It’s upsetting
Each you a me
Each me a you
Yes, and the idiots, too
Unfortunately

From the least of these
To our greatmothers and forefathers
All so unhappily one

We are far too much the same
No matter how hard we try
To believe otherwise

And so yes
Flags are great and fun for games
But the ground beneath our feet is all we have.
