Apparently, taking walks was a Roman invention, in as much as walking around for no reason save to air out your toga seemed to baffle a lot of the peoples the Romans terrorized colonized.
Meaning, back in the B.C. years, walking around for no reason save to chat a bit and see things was literally brand new.
